Annie’s Beard

He wrote a script called “Annie’s Beard” that he tried to make into a movie where a rich, attractive film studio assistant hit and killed a young girl with her car. The young girl happened to have a grown man’s beard. The girl willed herself to grow a beard in tribute to her own dead father, who had a beard. The case would go to court but instead of the judge and jury settling it, the little boy brother of the slain girl spoke up and suggested that Annie grow a beard for 10 years instead of going to jail for that length of time. Everyone agreed that that would be the punishment. Annie would lose her career and money and come to terms with her new life, with a beard.

Finding a computer out for trash

Louis and Marc Maron once found a computer out for trash on the street. Louis’ mom was a computer programmer and Louis had taken an AV class in junior high school, so he had the skills that enabled him to fix it and get it running. They looked at the ex-owner of the computer’s emails (specifically to his family’s lawyer) and found out he was a homosexual who grew up in the south and was persecuted for his sexuality. He moved to New York and got into drugs and spent a lot of money with his parent’s credit card, as well as stealing their retirement fund. Because of this, his father had to come out of retirement to make ends meet. The ex-owner would email people and say that his parents hate him because he is a homosexual but Louis and Marc knew that there was an additional layer to the story, that of him ruining his parents’ lives and putting them in financial ruin.

The $1400 trumpet

On a whim, he once bought a $1400 trumpet from a store in Times Square, which was nearly all of the money he had in the bank at the time. He immediately regretted the purchase and was freaking out as he walked around Times Square. So he went into a peep show and jacked off, accidentally getting his ejaculate on the trumpet case. Looking down at what he’d done, he knew that if he would just have jacked off first that he would have saved the $1400.
